Among the russians which eye color is more prevelant that color can said to be common in russians?

Russia is a huge country that extends far away to Asia. Most common eyecolor in Russia would be therefore brown. Naturally in western part of Russia in areas close to Moscow and St. Petersburg the prevelant color on the area could be gray or blueish.





Remember that Russia is not only western Russia. It's only a small part of the whole country. The other provinces further in east may not be globally so well known, but the people living over there are russians as well even they may not be blonde and gray-eyed.





Of course there's stereotypes about gray-eyed and blonde russians, but it reflects only the situation in the west Russia.Among the russians which eye color is more prevelant that color can said to be common in russians?
Like Americans, Russians come in all shapes and sizes and colors. Also like Americans, they tend to think that blond hair and blue eyes are ideal. Those whose ancestors came from the northern areas of western Russia (between Moscow and Novgorod) often have that coloration. But brown hair and brown eyes are probably more common. There are also many with black hair and brown eyes, and even the very rare one with red hair. These may have either blue or brown eyes. In a few Russian novels, I have even seen gray eyes mentioned as well. So brown is most prevalent, but blue is idealized. I will make it very simple. Colder areas that aren't as sunny people have lighter eyes. They need to allow more light in the eye. Being blue/green/grey.





Areas of the world that have a lot more sun have darker eyes. It blocks out absorbing too much light.





Hair color is the same....skin color as well.

well im russian and i have been living in russia for 16 years...according to ma expirience,


mostly, people have blue-grey eyes


then green and then brown...
All the Russians that i have seen have blue eyes and blond hair.
