A few tricks are make sure you have good lighting so you don't strain, also chose fonts that are easy for you to see when you sit at a comfortable distance, lastly choose colors that are soft to keep you from focusing on it instead of the font. And use a glare blocker if you have an older monitor that doesn't have it built into the screen.
