wat color eyes would their children have ?In hummans brown eyes is dominant over blue eye color. if a homozygous brown eyed person married a blue eye?
Heterozygous brown. Each child would have a brown gene and a blue gene, but the brown gene would be expressed.
Actually the answer isn't quite this simple since eye color can be determined by more than one set of genes. In hummans brown eyes is dominant over blue eye color. if a homozygous brown eyed person married a blue eye?
I know America is becoming more liberal and gays can now marry in certain places, but where has society now ventured? Hummans (sic) marrying a single blue eye! How sick! The only thing worse would be wedding a married blue eye! ANYHOW-----Brown, with the exception of a freaking mutant, I mean mutation!
Eye colour is not determined by only one gene, it is determined by a group of genes so the term ';homozygous brown'; is not meaningful.
Very dark brown parent and blue eyed parent will likely have children with light brown to dark brown eyes. If the brown eyed parent has light, medium or dark brown eyes, then the children could have blue, green, hazel, light brown, medium brown or dark brown eyes.
Huhhh!!!! I thought I was in the English Language area of Answers! Best answer is no answer!
Most likely their kids would have brown eyes if one partner has a dominant trait for eyes.
It doesn't equal out easily like a math problem in this situation. Take my situation, both parents have brown eyes, my child's father and his parents have blue eyes, my child came out with blue eyes..... You have to see what happened in past generations. My grandfather on my father's side was blue eyed so that's where my child got his blue eyes we think.
Brown.
Although the children would have brown eyes, some of their children would carry the recessive gene for blue eyes - in future generations, if the blue-eyed recessive trait carrying child reproduces with another person carrying that same recessive trait, all of their children would have blue eyes.
It depends on the brown eyed partner- If the brown eyed partner had just brown genes, the child would have brown eyes. If the brown-eyed partner had one brown gene and one blue gene, the child could have either color.
(the relationship could be BlBlxBrBr or BlBlxBrBl, where Bl is blue and Br is brown)
EDIT: just saw the homozygous part... The children would have brown eyes
