People in Africa have dark skin because of the heat. Are there any benefits similar to that, from having a specific eye color?Is there a reason for having different eye colors?
Dark eyes work in similar ways to dark skin. They repel UVA/UVB rays more easily and more proficiently then other, lighter eye colors. Lighter eye colors are more susceptible to eye cancer caused by the sun and these lighter colors are also generally much more sensitive.Is there a reason for having different eye colors?
Alike the first answer, that makes sense. Colored eyes are more common among whites; especially fair skinned ones. That's also like how colored people have darker hair.
